Mize stands out once again and his choice has been to repeat on the SSKWAN label with a six-song EP nicknamed "Balancing Act".
mize is an important artist within the scene Bass. He is personally known as Ian Evans, a young man born in Dothan (Alabama). His passion from an early age was always the Hip-Hop and Trap. This triggered the future of his career and hence his love for electronic music.
He began his walks in the world of music in 2012 with another alias: yanqt (name that he extracted from his account of the famous game World of Warcraft). But it wasn't until 2017 that he decided to embark on a new project, now known as Mize, a new alias in honor of his late grandmother. From here, he began his entire current career and his influence on the scene Bass. Melodic Dubstep, Ambiental Downtempo, all marked by the influences of the Hip-Hop and some psychedelic sounds that characterize it.
The young American has a good musical repertoire behind him and we can emphasize a series of quite remarkable tracks. Among them: we have their most current song released through WAKAAN known as Refraction; a collaboration with Super Future called Satori launched through the label SSKWAN; a 5-track compilation called Thought Process EP, including a collaboration with the great Space Wizard; Crushing Blow, Puddle Fractal, Moon Shoes, among others, are some of the songs that the artist has been offering throughout his career.
A generous EP takes over the famous label this week SSKWAN, belonging to the general of Swedish origin, Liquid Stranger. Once again he decides to choose very well who will represent his second label. Snow Melt was the last release through the label, by the hand of Liquid Stranger & LUZCID. As well as, Floating from the fantastic producer Redrum or even Sharlitz Website and her powerful Dark Places.
But this time the stellar moment of Mize has arrived. With his magnificent 6-track EP, he comes to SSKWAN to show who's boss here.
Balancing Act is both a call back to some of the sounds and places that made this project come together in the beginning as well as a foreshadow of the new ideas, techniques, and themes I've been diving into as of late. Constantly as I grow older I notice that many aspects of my life are endless periods of balancing many things whether they be relationships, work, leisure, time, and even things as simple as taking care of your own body. I find that sometimes being an artist can be a Balancing Act of adopting new ideas while also attempting to keep the essence of what brought me here alive.

Slow Approach, infinite expansion, Clouded Judgment, Balance, crystalsong & I Need Your Heartbeat. These are the names given to the six tracks that make up this wonderful EP. Relaxing, melodic, calm music, to be able to enjoy at home. A severe calm descends from the power of the long melodies that it offers us. mize in this compilation, some marked by certain psychedelic sounds that stand out in the labels of Liquid Stranger. All are marked by similar characteristics, but each one absorbs you in a different way.
