After the impossibility of holding EDC Portugal, Insomniac will debut in Portimão in June 2022 with the Secret Project festival.
After a long time without knowing any news about EDC Portugal, on January 24 its cancellation became official. More than cancellation, it is a change of festival to the aforementioned Secret Project Festival for the dates of 17 to 19 de June on the beach Portimão (Portugal). This is because the logistics of Electric Daisy Carnival it is so exclusive that the organization cannot offer a complete experience to the attendees.
Secret Project It is one of the event brands of Insomniac. It is defined as an oasis of art and live music to welcome avant-garde artists, legends and new talents of the scene. The official debut of this event in Europe took place at the Amsterdam Dance Event with more than 20.000 attendees.
The festival will be made up of three stages distributed by genre, specifically House, Techno & Drum and bass. The ambient setting is anticipated to add an extra dimension to the festival, in addition to its already famous production quality and mesmerizing audiovisuals.
The line up has been fully revealed with a total of 99 artists and therefore no new names are expected. As for techno, the showcase of Drumcode from the hands of Adam Beyer, the live sets of Reinier Zonneveld & Paul Kalkbrenner took over the stage., the exclusive b3b between three great ones as they are Dubfire, Nicole Moudaber & Paco Osuna. The female gender is very well represented with Amelie Lens, Anna & Charlotte de Witte among others. Focusing on the field of Bass, we are going to be able to enjoy great producers within Drum and Bass, such as those great references in this world such as Andy C, Chase & Status with his own Dj Set, the prominent Camo & Krooked b2b Mefjus, to the team Critical Sound System commanded by Kasra, Halogenix & Particle, the greatest Dimension who will give a music recital with his latest album Organ, harder and more exclusive sounds, such as Friction & hedex, or even the destroyer sets of Kings Of The Rollers with A dog or SaSaSaS composed by Macky Gee, Dj Phantasy and the three wonderful MCs: Harry Shotta, skibadee & Shabba D.
